Marine Mammalogy
Marine mammalogy is the study of marine mammals, including whales, dolphins, otters and even polar bears*.
Organizations like The Society for Marine Mammalogy, The Marine Mammal Center, The American Cetacean Society and others are dedicated to the study of these magnificent sea creatures.
* Polar bears are considered by many to be marine mammals, because they spend considerable time swimming in the ocean, from iceberg to iceberg in search of pinnipeds.
